Bumin Khagan Chibi-style mug

As the chieftain of the Ashina ("Türk"), Bumin successfully liberated his people from the oppression of the Rouran Khaganate, took over his former overlords' state, and founded the first state in history with an official Turkic identity. Within a few years, he united nearly all Turkic peoples of the Eurasian Steppe belt. Shortly after the foundation, Bumin died. Yet his younger brother Istemi, as well as his sons Kara, Mukhan and Taspar, carried on the legacy of the Göktürk Empire for decades to come.
